Target: Everyday

A commercial built on seamless scene-to-scene transitions. Planned shot by shot across a 5-day shoot.

Case Study

VFX Supervisor ‍ - In-house and Vendors - National Commercial - Mirada 2025

THE CHALLENGE:

The creative called for a continuous series of "wipe" transitions, each scene seamlessly becoming the next. That kind of seamlessness can't be rescued in post — it has to be planned and executed precisely on set, across a lot of moving parts.

MY ROLE:

As VFX and on-set supervisor, I worked with the director to solve how each transition would be shot, then supervised the VFX on set for the entire five-day shoot — every shot, every transition.

HOW I SOLVED IT:

I planned how each scene would be captured and coordinated a wide range of specialists — motion-control and drone operators, cinematographers, stop-motion animators, and the art department — so the transitions would line up precisely. I also worked with the product team to 3D-scan every major product in the spot, giving the director the flexibility to swap in a CG version of anything in post.

THE RESULT:

A polished, seamless commercial where the transitions carry the creative — made possible by rigorous on-set planning and cross-department coordination.
