“This series of commercial spots for Honda utilized miniatures, full scale live action footage, and CGI all composited together to create the effect of a tiny holiday themed world living inside an advent calendar. I supervised the VFX on set for 2 weeks of shooting. We had 2 Alexa cameras set up in opposite ends of the stage, one shooting the live action and the other shooting the miniature set, all simultaneously. Back in the studio I supervised a team of about half dozen artists creating CG props and set extensions as well as 3D projections and particle FX.”
