A commercial shot entirely in camera in a large downtown Los Angeles warehouse. The concept was a massive art installation that resolved into two distinct, clearly defined images depending on the angle it was viewed from. Getting it right took months of pre-vis to build out the sets, map the textures, and hand everything to the art department for real-world fabrication. On set, I programmed the motion-control rigs and devised a coordinate system precise enough to align the fabricated set pieces to the tolerances the optical illusion demanded. I worked closely with production design, art department, camera, and VFX across four shooting days to bring the spot to life.
